Day 2: Imlil to Azib Likemt
Trek for 6-7 hours, ascending through scenic valleys and small villages, on your way to Azib Likemt. Tonight, you’ll stay in a mountain hut or camp at Azib Likemt.
Day 3: Azib Likemt to Lake Ifni

Take it easy today to acclimatise for the summit climb. You’ll have the option to hike to a nearby peak or simply relax and take in the incredible scenery surrounding the refuge.
Day 6: Summit Day (Toubkal Summit)
Rise early for the challenging 8-10 hour round trip to the summit of Mount Toubkal at 4,167 metres. The ascent is tough, but reaching the top offers panoramic views that make the effort worth it. Descend back to the Toubkal Refuge for the night.
Day 7: Toubkal Refuge to Imlil
After breakfast, descend back down to Imlil, a 5-6 hour trek through lush valleys and local Berber villages. The scenery here is equally stunning as you return to the starting point of your trek.
Day 8: Imlil to Marrakech
After a final transfer back to Marrakech, spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant city or relaxing before your departure.
The trek takes place in the Atlas Mountains, situated in central Morocco, where you’ll experience one of the most beautiful and remote trekking regions in North Africa.
The area offers varied terrain, from lush valleys to rocky ridges, and is home to local Berber communities.
On some nights, you’ll camp in scenic locations, including near Lake Ifni, for an authentic wilderness experience.
While prior trekking experience is helpful, the trek is open to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Some days involve long hours of hiking at altitude, so a good level of endurance and stamina will be beneficial.
The guides will assist with acclimatisation and ensure everyone is prepared for the challenges ahead.
The guides leading this trek are local experts, intimately familiar with the terrain and the culture of the region. Their knowledge ensures you’ll not only have a safe and enjoyable experience but also gain insights into the history and traditions of the Berber people.
