Our Adult Beginner Sailing Day is designed to introduce you to the basics of sailing while ensuring you have a fantastic time. During this non-certified but highly instructional day, you'll:
We are situated at the picturesque activity centre, nestled within the 2nd largest natural harbour in the world. Our beachfront location provides a stunning backdrop for your sailing adventure. The safe and shallow waters of Poole Harbour make it an ideal environment for beginners. Plus, you can unwind at the Harbour's Edge Beachfront Café after your sailing experience.
No previous sailing experience is necessary. Just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to try something new.
Our location at Rockley Point offers one of the most stunning beachfront settings in the world. We are a recognised RYA training centre, ensuring the highest quality of instruction. Our staff is experienced, friendly, and passionate about sharing the joy of sailing. With the second-largest natural harbour at your doorstep, you'll have ample space to practice and explore.
This course is perfect for adults (16+) of all ages and abilities who are interested in trying out sailing for the first time or revisiting the sport after some time away. No prior sailing experience is required.
We recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, including layers, a hat, and sunglasses. Don't forget sunscreen and comfortable, non-slip shoes. You might get wet, so bring a change of clothes just in case.
Lunch is not included in the course fee. You can either bring your own packed lunch or purchase food and refreshments at the Harbour's Edge Beachfront Café located at Rockley Point.
All necessary sailing equipment and safety gear will be provided. You just need to bring your enthusiasm, appropriate clothing, and any personal items you may need, like sunscreen and a water bottle.
While some familiarity with swimming is always helpful, you don't need to be an expert swimmer to participate. Everyone will wear a buoyancy aid at all times for safety, and our experienced instructors will ensure a safe learning environment.
This Adult Beginner Sailing Day is non-certified but highly instructional, focusing on introducing you to the basics of sailing and having a great time on the water. Participants will not receive an official sailing certificate after completing the course.
