Welcome to our SUP Beginner Lesson at the picturesque Vobster Quay quarry! Experience paddleboarding in calm conditions for your BSUPA 'Ready to Ride' session.
In this 90 minute session, you will learn and take part in:
We'll start with an equipment introduction, safety briefing and some quick land practice before hitting the water to practice your paddle techniques, going from kneeling to standing, turning techniques, and rescue and safety techniques.
We love to include fun games and activities, as well as giving you a chance to observe the beautiful surroundings and wildlife around Vobster Quay.
We'll meet at Vobster Quay by the main building, right beside the lake. The area boasts large changing rooms for both men and women, maintained with the utmost cleanliness. We'll let you know the precise meeting point, address and postcode when you book.
Our lessons ensure personal attention with 1 instructor for every 8 clients. We use top-notch paddleboards, and all our equipment, including wetsuits, is cleaned and prepped for each session.
All participants are required to wear a buoyancy aid. Plus, we ensure you're informed about all safety aspects, from weather conditions to health considerations.
With serene waters and a tranquil environment, Vobster Quay provides the perfect backdrop for learning SUP.
To get started on this exciting journey, book now. We can't wait to introduce you to the world of SUP!
We have a maximum instructor:participant ratio of 1:8.
Please wear footwear suitable for the outdoors for arrival and wetsuit boots, water shoes or old trainers for the lesson. Wear something comfortable, we have wetsuits available, but if you have your own then please do bring it along. Please do not wear anything you could lose during the session, eg. rings, earrings, expensive watches, etc. All our participants must wear a PFD / buoyancy aid at all times (provided)!
We will contact you in case of adverse weather or inadequate conditions. Once a session is booked, please presume it will go ahead unless we contact you. Adverse weather means, thunderstorms, gail force winds, freezing cold conditions, or a downpour of heavy rain. All other conditions, including light rain, we will proceed as normal.
We partner with Rewilding Britain to help protect our natural spaces for future adventures.
All centres are vetted for safety and quality. Your adventure is in good hands with adventuro.
