This guided mountain scrambling adventure is perfect for those seeking a real challenge in the great outdoors. Taking on the famous North Face of Tryfan, you’ll be navigating one of the best grade 1 scrambling routes in the UK, with the assistance of our experienced Mountain Leaders. Whether you’re an experienced adventurer or someone looking to push your limits, this journey offers the thrill of a lifetime.
Your adventure will begin with the ascent of Tryfan’s iconic North Face, a route renowned for its challenging but rewarding scrambling. As you climb, you’ll engage with rocky crags, using both your hands and feet to navigate the terrain. Expect an exciting combination of scramble, rock climb, and a fair bit of adventure as you make your way up to the summit. The route itself has been rated as the best grade 1 scrambling route in the country and is often cited as one of the best climbs in the UK.
Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with gorgeous panoramic views of Snowdonia and the surrounding area. From here, you’ll encounter the two boulders known as Adam and Eve, which you can attempt to leap between—providing an unforgettable moment and a great photo opportunity. After a well-earned rest, the adventure continues over the Glyders and Y Cribin, where further scrambling awaits. This is a full day of mountain exploration that promises to test your physical limits and leave you with memories of one of the most exciting days in the mountains.
Our adventure takes place in the scenic Ogwen Valley, nestled within the Snowdonia National Park. Surrounded by towering peaks, the area is a haven for those seeking rugged beauty and outdoor excitement.
The centre of the action is Tryfan, an easily recognisable mountain with a unique character and dramatic crags, making it a sought-after location for mountaineers.
Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and a head for heights, as the route involves grade 1 scrambling, which can be physically demanding and requires some agility.
This is not a walk in the park—climbing with your hands and feet is a key part of the ascent. Some prior scrambling or rock climbing experience is helpful but not essential, as our guides will be with you every step of the way to offer guidance and support.
