This session is designed for new and recent climbers aiming to improve their technique and confidence on indoor walls. Perfect for those who've had at least a couple of visits, the course focuses on building a foundational movement vocabulary and a few tips and tricks to build your efficiency, helping participants progress from V0/V1 to V2/V3 without needing to build additional strength.
The session covers foundation climbing techniques, focusing on body positioning, foot placement, and weight transference. Through demonstrations, practice, partner work, and individual guidance, you’ll learn how to make your climbing more efficient and enjoyable.
You’ll tackle a variety of bouldering problems suited to your current level, with coaching and psyche to help you push your boundaries. The instructor will provide personalised tips on route selection, strategy, and problem-solving. By the end of the session, you’ll feel more confident in your climbing ability, equipped with a toolkit to take away so you can work on more advanced grades.
The meeting point is Edinburgh, EH8 7DY. From there, the group will proceed to a well-loved local bouldering wall with a wide range of routes suitable for all skill levels.
Venue details and any additional instructions will be provided upon booking.
