Explore the exciting world of mountain biking with our engaging and educational children's programs. Operated by highly qualified British Cycling coaches, our camps and guided adventures take place during every school holiday, using fantastic locations like Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Kingley Vale in Hampshire and West Sussex.
We understand every child is unique - they learn differently and progress at their own pace. This is why we offer three main groups for our mountain bike camps, each one designed to be fun, challenging, and tailored to the cyclist's skill level. By keeping our groups small, we ensure that each young rider receives personalized attention to help them reach their full potential.
The moment a child learns to ride a bike independently is momentous and exhilarating. Let our expert coaches guide your child through this rite of passage, transitioning from stabilisers to independent riding.
Please Note: The price does not include bike hire.
Beginner's Camps are ideal for children aged between 5 and 8 years old or older riders new to off-road biking. During these sessions, we teach fundamental mountain biking skills like body positioning, pedalling, and gear selection, ensuring a safe and enjoyable off-road riding experience.
Through activities and coaching, children will learn cornering, braking, and gear selection on varied terrain. At the end of the camp, children are awarded a coloured Paracord Bracelet indicating their skill level.
Sessions are 90 minutes long, and take place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Our Intermediate Camps are perfect for riders aged 7 to 11 who are accustomed to off-road single-track trails graded green and blue. Here, we focus on refining their biking skills and enhancing confidence on the trails. Techniques such as front wheel lifts, manuals, and track stands may be part of the learning experience.
Our coaching will help them enhance their biking skills on varied terrain. Children will also work towards a grading criterion based on the International Trail Ability Grading Framework (ITAG).
Advanced Camps are designed for riders over 11 years old who confidently navigate blue and red trails. These camps include learning the fundamentals of jumping, practicing racing strategies, and mastering drops.
For young mountain bikers ready to tackle red single-track trails, our advanced camps help build skills like cornering, front wheel lifts, and more. Our expert coaches provide a safe environment for children to access more challenging trails and push their abilities.
Mountain biking is more than a sport; it's a way to explore and appreciate the outdoors. Our adventure rides for over-8's include basic map reading, snack stops, mountain biking-related games, and opportunities to have a real outdoor adventure.
Our 3-hour adventure rides are perfect for competent riders who can effectively use their gears and navigate blue trail centres confidently. A full morning of trail exploration for the adventurous child awaits. Exploring new trails in the South Downs National Park, these 3-hour rides include rest stops, snack breaks, and even an ice cream stop!
Our dedication to safety, fun, and individualised learning sets us apart. Our highly qualified British Cycling coaches ensure your child's mountain biking experience is engaging, educational, and safe. Whether it's their first time riding a bike or they're ready to take on challenging trails, our various camps and activities cater to all skill levels and ages.

Our camps cater to various age groups starting from 3 years old, with our courses specifically designed for beginners (aged 5-8), intermediates (aged 7-11), and advanced riders (aged 11+).
We follow the International Trail Ability Grading (ITAG) framework. Children work towards specific grade criteria, and upon meeting these criteria, they receive a coloured Paracord Bracelet indicating their ability and skill level.
The course fee doesn't include bike hire, transport to the venue, or parking. However, some venues offer free parking. If your child does not have a bike they can use, we can help to organise bike hire - everyone is welcome!
Depending on the level, children can learn everything from basic off-road riding and gear selection to more advanced skills like front wheel lifts, manuals, track stands, and even fundamentals of jumping and race practice. All training is done in a safe, fun, and engaging environment.
