Wales's Surf School of the Year are offering exclusive Private Family Surf Lessons in the stunning Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. Our tailored lessons provide an ideal way for you and your family to learn surfing in a fun, safe, and exhilarating environment.
Learn the basics of surfing, including wave catching, standing up, balance techniques, and wave timing. Improver surfers can also refine their techniques and learn new maneuvers.
Our half-day lessons are structured to provide a comprehensive introduction to surfing. The session includes a mix of theory and practical instruction, tailored to your family’s skill level and needs.
Our experienced instructors ensure a personalised experience, adapting the lessons to cater to both beginners and more experienced surfers.
Lessons are conducted at two prime surfing locations in Pembrokeshire: Manorbier and Freshwater West. These spots are chosen for their ideal surfing conditions, catering to all levels of surfers.
We will confirm your location based on the conditions the day before.
Participants should have basic swimming skills and be comfortable in the water. No prior surfing experience is required.

Our Private Family Surf Lessons are designed for families including children from the age of 7 years and older. It's important that all participants, especially children, are water-confident and can swim at least 25 meters. These lessons are tailored to accommodate a range of ages, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in the family.
The lessons cover a wide range of skills, suitable for both beginners and those with some surfing experience. Beginners will learn the basics of surfing, such as wave catching, standing up on the board, and maintaining balance. Improver surfers can refine their techniques, learn new maneuvers, and improve wave timing and positioning. The lessons are adapted to the skill levels and learning pace of each family.
We provide all the necessary equipment, including high-quality surfboards suitable for all ages and skill levels, and full wetsuits for comfort in the water. Safe storage for belongings is also provided. Participants should bring personal items like sunscreen, towels, snacks, and water. If you have your own wetsuits or surfboards and prefer to use them, you are welcome to do so.

Got some surfboards and wetsuits for a couple of hours. They were dropped off at the right place right time, he was very helpful and knowledgeable, gave us a little info about the beach because we hadn't surfed there before. Will definitely be using again and recommending
