Join us for an unforgettable RIB tour along the Menai Strait, where history and breathtaking scenery come together. This one-hour adventure takes you from Beaumaris Pier to some of the most iconic landmarks in the area, including the Menai and Britannia Bridges. Marvel at the engineering wonders, admire the stately homes, and experience the thrill of navigating the Swellies' treacherous waters.
Your journey begins at Beaumaris Pier, where you'll board one of our powerful RIBs and set off along the Menai Strait. As you cruise past Port Penrhyn and Bangor Pier, you'll be treated to stunning views of historic landmarks like Plas Newydd and Millionaire’s Row.
The highlight of the tour is passing under the Menai Bridge, an engineering marvel completed in 1826. Your skipper will guide you through the Swellies, a challenging section of the Strait known for its strong currents and whirlpools. Keep an eye out for shipwrecks and the islands where herons often feed.
Next, you'll pass under the Britannia Bridge, where you'll spot the iconic lions and salute the hidden statue of Lord Nelson. The tour continues to Plas Newydd, the ancestral home of the Marquess of Anglesey, before returning to Beaumaris. On the way back, get ready for an exhilarating ride with twists, turns, and high-speed thrills!

Our usual trip time is 2pm.
Our boats, The Beast and Discovery, can carry up to 12 passengers each.
The Beast has twin Mercury V8 outboard engines that produce 500hp and Discovery has twin Mercury V8 300hp engines making her a whopping 600hp.
Warm and waterproof!
It’s always colder out on the water and it can get very windy so we always advise bringing extra layers. Powerboat trips can, by nature, be wet. We advise you wear warm clothing, suitable footwear (trainers or lightweight walking boots) and a waterproof coat. You may wish to bring waterproof trousers and gloves/hat (particularly for winter trips). It can get very bright out on the water, so sunglasses are recommended. If it’s particularly sunny, suncream is advised.
