We tend to teach people from age 8 upwards. If you are younger and keen speak to us first before booking so we can advise if a surf lesson is feasible for your age. A decent level of fitness will help, but you don’t have to turn pro to enjoy surfing – the best surfer is the one having the most fun, even if that involves falling off a few times! If you’re interested, give it a go… ### What experience do I need to have? No experience is necessary, but you will need to be able to swim and feel fairly confident in the water. We use 50m as a good distance people should be able to comfortably swim before learning to surf. Beginners start in shallow water though, so we will work at a pace you feel comfortable with. ### What equipment do I need to bring? If you have your own board and wetsuit, bring them with you. If you don’t, suitable ones will be provided. You should bring a towel and swimsuit to wear underneath the wetsuit. Sunscreen and a warm top for after your surf are also not a bad idea, and possibly a bottle of water and small snack for when you’re done, as you can use up a lot of energy in the water. ### When and where does surf coaching take place? Lessons can be arranged for any time or day of the week, subject to availability. If you don’t see a time or date which suits you, just send the adventuro team a message in the online chat, and they will help to facilitate and alternative date which works for you and us.
