Experience a full day of coastal exploration specifically designed for women, led by one of our expert female guides. Paddle along the beautiful coastline of Dartmouth, uncover hidden coves, and enjoy the natural beauty of one of the UK’s premier sea kayak destinations. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned paddlers, this adventure offers a unique perspective on the scenery and wildlife.
Start your day by getting kitted up with all necessary equipment, followed by a brief introduction to sea kayaking from our experienced guide. Once you're comfortable, we'll set off to explore the coast and estuary. The journey includes paddling to various scenic spots, where you'll have the chance to see the coastline from a unique vantage point that other boats can't reach. We’ll keep an eye out for seals and other wildlife, explore sea caves (tide permitting), and even have the opportunity to swim in secluded coves.
Midday, we'll stop at a remote sandy beach for a relaxing picnic. Enjoy some downtime, take a swim, and roast marshmallows over a driftwood fire. After lunch, we’ll continue our exploration before making our way back to Dartmouth. Each trip is tailored to the group’s preferences, ensuring a personalised and memorable experience.
Our meeting point is Coronation Dinghy Park, Coombe Road, Dartmouth, TQ6 9PQ. Dartmouth provides the perfect backdrop for a sea kayaking adventure with its dramatic cliffs, peaceful coves, and abundant wildlife.
No prior kayaking experience is necessary. Participants should be at least 12 years old and comfortable in the water. A moderate level of fitness is recommended to fully enjoy the day.
We offer guided sea kayak trips and skills courses for all abilities, operating from Dartmouth since 2011. Our founder, Ben, chose this location after exploring the entire British Isles.
Our team of over 15 top coaches is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience, using a variety of stable and easy-to-control sea kayaks. Our guides are not only friendly but highly qualified, ensuring you receive the best instruction and support whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paddler.
Yes, participants aged 12 and over are welcome. We also have large double kayaks for youngsters or those who prefer to paddle with a companion.
You might spot seals, various seabirds, and if you're lucky, other marine wildlife. Our guides will help you identify and appreciate the local fauna.
YES! Pretty much everyone who gets into one of our Sea Kayaks is amazed at how easy it is. They are stable and they all have a retractable fin at the back so they track naturally in a straight line.
Even the least fit will glide along faster than walking speed with about the same amount of effort as riding a bike on the flat. Our super stable double kayaks also have a rudder at the back to make steering even easier.
You don’t need any experience at all, you don’t even need to be the sporty type or be able to swim.
In our comfortable, stable kayaks and under the expert guidance of our coaches you will quickly relax and enjoy your trip. For those who consider themselves to be fit and adventurous there is endless possibilities for excitement.
If it’s a hot day all you’ll need is shorts and t-shirt! However there is plenty of dry storage in the kayaks so please also bring…
You don’t need a wetsuit. It’s very rare that anyone falls in the water and it’s much more comfortable to paddle in light clothing.
For trips in the early spring, late autumn and winter, please bring plenty of warm outdoor clothing (fleece jumpers etc.) and a spare set of clothing. For our winter courses and trips you can use one of our Peak UK Adventure one piece drysuits.
We keep our group sizes small with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 people per instructor. If you are a larger group or 2 families who want to kayak together, that is no problem at all; you will simply have multiple instructors looking after you on the water.
If you would like to book a group of more than 6 people just send us a message via the adventuro chat below. They'll be happy to help!
We partner with Rewilding Britain to help protect our natural spaces for future adventures.
All centres are vetted for safety and quality. Your adventure is in good hands with adventuro.
