Despite the bad weather we had a throughly enjoyable day. Kath is a fantastic instructor and guide and she knew exactly just how much to push us :) My son is already planning our next trip and we plan to return again next year.

Join us for an exhilarating Women’s MTB Weekend nestled in the stunning landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia) in North Wales. This two-day adventure promises an immersive experience filled with mountain biking, wild swimming, yoga, and friendship.
Commencing our adventure at 09:30 on Saturday, we gather at the charming 'Find Me Cooking' café in Betws y Coed. In the welcoming courtyard, introductions are made, and the day's agenda is discussed. Prior to embarking on our biking excursion, thorough safety checks of your equipment are conducted to ensure a safe journey.
Throughout the day, we traverse scenic forest and mountain trails, honing our skills and strengthening confidence. Our biking adventure promises excitement and enjoyment as we navigate a mix of marked MTB trails, bridleways, and natural 'off-piste' routes around the renowned Gwydir Forest.
Returning to Betws y Coed around 16:00, a well-deserved break awaits with refreshments. For enthusiasts of wild swimming, ample time is provided to join us at a popular river pool for a refreshing dip, though participation is optional. At 18:30, an optional hour-long yoga session awaits, focusing on muscle release and recovery, preparing us for Sunday's adventures.
Sunday's meeting at 09:30 in Capel Curig, weather permitting, marks the commencement of a beautiful mountain expedition. This scenic loop delves into the heart of Eryri, traversing high passes (Bwlchau in Welsh) and secluded valleys. While the terrain presents challenges with rocky, rugged paths, a calm interlude is found along a tranquil mountain lane, leading us to a final climb before a swift descent back into Capel Curig. Further opportunities for idyllic wild swimming beckon in the crystal-clear waters of a lake before concluding the weekend with friendly conversations over drinks and food.
Note: In the event of inclement weather, our route may divert to the coastal hills for an equally captivating adventure above the UNESCO World Heritage town of Conwy.
This weekend adventure is tailored for women comfortable riding blue-red grade trail centre trails, seeking to enhance their confidence on natural terrain beyond signposted routes.
Participants should be at ease riding distances of 20-25km and climbing 800m. Both E-Bikes and non-E-bikes bikes are welcome, provided they are well-maintained and in good working order.
Our Women’s MTB Weekend is led by Kath, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in education and mountain biking. Kath's passion for riding and coaching, combined with her qualifications in outdoor education and mountain biking leadership, ensures a safe, supportive, and enjoyable experience for all participants.
With a focus on building skills, boosting confidence, and fostering a sense of community among women riders, our weekend promises an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Snowdonia.
Remember, this trip requires a minimum of 4 bookings to proceed, so gather your friends and join us for an unforgettable weekend of mountain biking and harmony amidst the gorgeous landscapes of Eryri.
