Despite the bad weather we had a throughly enjoyable day. Kath is a fantastic instructor and guide and she knew exactly just how much to push us :) My son is already planning our next trip and we plan to return again next year.

Welcome to our women’s mountain bike and e-bike weekends in North Wales. These weekends offer an exciting opportunity to ride through some of the most scenic trails in the UK, all while being guided by experienced female instructors. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, you'll find the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment.
Start each day with a 9:30 am meet-up, where you’ll be briefed on the day's ride before heading out. On Saturday, expect a mix of forest trails and natural bridleways in the Betws-y-Coed area, including parts of the Gwydir Mawr trail. Midway, you’ll have the option to cool off with a river swim before regrouping for a Pilates workshop. This session, tailored to bikers, will help you recover and prepare for another day on the trails. End the evening with homemade treats and dinner at a local pub.
Sunday’s ride takes you through the Carneddau mountains, offering a blend of technical sections and scenic paths. You’ll pass by ancient landmarks and finish with a descent into Conwy Quay, where you can unwind with a well-earned drink at a local café or pub. Throughout the rides, our guides will provide tips to help you navigate the terrain confidently and safely.
Based in North Wales, these weekends cover trails in and around Betws-y-Coed and Conwy, within the striking landscape of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. The area is known for its varied terrain, including forest paths, rugged mountain tracks, and coastal views.
Riders will experience the unique beauty of North Wales, from the dense woodlands of Gwydir Forest to the expansive views from the Carneddau mountains, with historical sites such as Conwy Castle adding a touch of cultural richness to the rides.
Participants should be comfortable with blue and most red graded trails and be prepared to tackle some technical sections.
A moderate level of fitness is necessary, as the rides involve significant climbs and descents. Riders should feel free to walk any challenging parts they are not comfortable riding.
Our team is dedicated to providing an unforgettable riding experience in a supportive and inclusive environment. All of our guides are fully qualified, experienced, and passionate about mountain biking. They offer not just guidance on the trails but also support and encouragement to help you build your skills and confidence.
These weekends are more than just about riding; they are about fostering a community of women who share a love for adventure and the outdoors. With small group sizes, you’ll receive personalised attention, making for a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience.
We recommend bringing a mountain bike or e-bike suited for off-road trails, with front or full suspension. Ensure your bike is in good working condition, with reliable brakes and gears suitable for climbing and descending.
If you're unsure, consult your local bike shop for a pre-trip check-up.
While all experience levels are welcome, you should be comfortable on blue and most red graded trails. The terrain can be technical, so some familiarity with off-road biking is beneficial.
However, our guides will offer support and advice, and you can walk any sections that feel too challenging.
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate cycling clothing. Layering is key in mountainous regions, so bring a waterproof jacket and breathable layers.
Don’t forget padded cycling shorts for comfort, gloves, and protective eyewear. Sturdy shoes with good grip are essential.
Bike and equipment rental are not included, so you’ll need to bring your own.
If you're travelling from afar, local rental options are available, and we can recommend trusted suppliers upon request.
We ride in all weather conditions unless it's deemed unsafe. Wales’ weather can be unpredictable, so come prepared with appropriate gear for rain and cooler temperatures.
If the forecast is particularly severe, routes may be adjusted to safer alternatives.
Accommodation is not included in the weekend package.
We can recommend local options ranging from campsites to hotels. If you need assistance, please get in touch, and we’ll help you find a suitable place to stay.
All guides are certified in outdoor first aid and carry safety kits. They are trained to handle emergencies and ensure that all participants ride within their limits.
Safety briefings are conducted each morning before the rides.
We partner with Rewilding Britain to help protect our natural spaces for future adventures.
All centres are vetted for safety and quality. Your adventure is in good hands with adventuro.
