FAQs:

I’ve never climbed before, will I manage?

Our centre is designed to cater to all abilities.

It’s perfect for beginners and can also provide plenty of challenge for experienced climbers, with routes up to F6a and V2/3.

I don’t know if climbing is for me because…

Think you don’t have the upper body strength, you’re too old, unfit, or it’s too scary? You might surprise yourself!

Upper body strength isn’t a requirement, and climbing is often more about balance and technique. It’s an empowering experience, and you won’t know until you give it a go!

What should I wear?

Wear clothing that allows free movement. Long sleeves and trousers can help protect against scrapes. Layers and a waterproof jacket are useful too. For footwear, grippy shoes like trainers or walking boots are ideal.

Climbers often wear tight-fitting shoes, so bring different socks to adjust the fit if needed. Long hair should be tied back, and avoid rings or dangly jewellery—stud earrings are fine.

Does your centre offer other types of sessions?

Yes, we offer everything from bespoke children’s parties to outdoor climbing across Scotland.

Whether it’s a romantic climb for two, helping indoor climbers experience real rock, or teaching seconding on trad climbs, there’s something for everyone.

To enquire, please contact us via the adventuro chat below. They'll be more than happy to help!

What if I get scared or feel overwhelmed?

It’s completely normal to feel apprehensive, especially if it’s your first time climbing outdoors. The instructors are there to support you every step of the way, and they’ll work with you to build your confidence.

You can take breaks, and if at any point you feel uncomfortable, just let the instructor know. The aim is to help you feel safe and supported throughout the session.

What happens if the weather isn’t suitable for climbing?

If the weather conditions aren’t safe for climbing, such as heavy rain or strong winds, we’ll reschedule the session for another time.

The safety of participants is always the top priority. We encourage you to check the weather forecast ahead of time and bring appropriate layers to be comfortable in varying conditions.
