Experience the perfect mix of outdoor adventure with a day that combines two exciting activities: abseiling and caving. You'll start with abseiling from the Millers Dale Viaduct, building confidence and technique through multiple descents, before heading underground to explore caves and take on exciting challenges. Whether you’re descending waterfalls or tackling squeeze challenges, this multi-activity day will offer a memorable time for both beginners and those looking to expand their outdoor skills.
The day starts at Millers Dale Viaduct, where you'll be introduced to your harness and helmet before heading to the bridge for your first abseil. The morning will focus on building confidence, with multiple abseils ensuring everyone gets comfortable with the process. After the abseils, you'll head back to the car park before 12pm for lunch, either bringing your own packed meal or visiting the local cafe.
In the afternoon, after a short drive to the cave site, you'll receive additional equipment for the underground session. Here, you’ll explore the caves with your guides, who will lead you to various challenges, including waterfall abseils and squeeze challenges, depending on the group’s preferences. This exciting day will leave you with a sense of achievement and the opportunity to try two fantastic activities in one go.
Located in the heart of the Peak District, this area is well known for its dramatic landscapes and iconic rock formations. Millers Dale Viaduct provides a fantastic spot for abseiling, offering impressive views and a safe, controlled environment for beginners and seasoned adventurers alike.
The caves nearby provide the perfect setting for an underground experience, combining adventure with the excitement of exploring the hidden world beneath the surface.
No previous experience is required for either abseiling or caving, though a good level of fitness is recommended as both activities involve physical challenges.
Participants should be comfortable with heights and small spaces, and be prepared to get wet during the caving portion of the day. A willingness to try new things and step out of your comfort zone will help you get the most out of the experience.
