Your adventure begins in Crickhowell, cycling between the Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Black Mountains. You'll ride through a scenic valley and climb with expansive views overlooking the area. The first off-road section features a rocky descent through the woods to a small hamlet, where you'll cross a river before heading onto the roads again for a sharp climb. Following a stone wall alongside a pine forest, you’ll approach a river crossing that leads into the forest.
As you ascend towards the Black Mountain, the terrain becomes steeper, but the views from the summit are incredible. After joining the Beacons Way, prepare for a thrilling descent down natural trails with panoramic Welsh mountain views. The route takes you through woods, over loose rocks, and back onto quiet lanes. The adventure concludes alongside a large river, as you make your way back to the village of Glangrwyney.
