Whether you're looking for some solo time on the board or want to bring friends, our equipment and facilities are at your disposal for a fantastic paddleboarding experience.
When hiring a paddleboard, you’ll have access to the calm waters of Hove Lagoon, an ideal spot for paddleboarding. The hire includes all the necessary equipment to get out on the water and enjoy a peaceful paddle. For your safety, hire on the sea is only available to club members or paddlers who have demonstrated their ability and safety knowledge. During peak summer months, SUP hire can be busy, and we recommend checking availability before making your journey to avoid disappointment.
Hove Lagoon is a prime location for paddleboarding, offering a sheltered and shallow body of seawater near Brighton’s seafront. The lagoon provides a safe and controlled environment for paddleboard hire, making it perfect for both new and experienced paddlers. For those qualified to hire on the sea, Brighton’s open water is just a short paddle away.
To hire a SUP, you must have completed a SUP Taster Session (BSUPA Ready to Ride) or have equivalent experience. If you're hiring on the sea, you must be a Club Member or pass holder and demonstrate previous paddling experience and safety knowledge. For safety reasons, sea hire is limited to regular paddlers who meet these requirements.
At Hove Lagoon, we prioritise safety and enjoyment. Our facilities are designed to make your paddleboarding experience smooth and enjoyable, from providing high-quality equipment to offering excellent on-site amenities. We have been open since 1994, and our lagoon water is regularly tested to ensure it meets the highest safety and quality standards. Whether you're paddling in the calm waters of Hove Lagoon or venturing onto the sea, you can trust us to provide a top-tier SUP hire experience. Please note that availability can be limited during peak months, so always check before travelling.
