Join us for a scenic journey along the calm waters of the River Thames with our 'Downstream Discovery Tour'. This guided paddleboard adventure promises three hours of exploration, relaxation, and connection amidst gorgeous natural landscapes.
Prepare for a leisurely paddleboard excursion, drifting downstream on the scenic River Thames. Led by our experienced local instructor, the adventure commences from our private floating pontoon. As we glide downstream towards Teddington, beautiful sights unfold, from charming houseboats to historic landmarks such as Hampton Court Palace.
While not structured as a formal lesson, our knowledgeable instructor is on hand to offer tips and feedback on paddling techniques. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned paddler, the trip caters to all skill levels.
Feel free to paddle at your own pace, basking in the quiet ambience of the river. As we approach Teddington, we conclude our expedition conveniently close to a delightful riverside pub, perfect for post-paddle relaxation and refreshments.
Launch from our private pontoon situated on the non-tidal River Thames in Surrey, ensuring a calm and secluded starting point for your adventure.
Participants should possess basic paddling proficiency, including the ability to stand up and paddle or comfortably paddle while kneeling. Proficiency in paddling forwards, turning left and right, and stopping is recommended. No prior expert-level experience is necessary.
Choose us for an unparalleled experience guided by passionate enthusiasts deeply rooted in the local paddling community.
As a Paddle UK (formerly British Canoeing) Delivery Partner and esteemed members of the British Stand Up Paddle Association (BSUPA), we uphold rigorous safety standards and professionalism. With our wealth of expertise and commitment to excellence, rest assured that your adventure on the River Thames is in capable hands.
Previous experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Our guided session caters to participants of all skill levels, offering support and guidance as needed.
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, comfortable clothing suitable for water activities, and a reusable water bottle.
Absolutely! You're welcome to bring your own paddleboard to join the adventure. Please ensure it meets safety standards and is suitable for river paddling.
A question we get asked often by our visitors, the paddleboard is designed for bare feet to grip, so shoes will not be essential. So, when it is warm you can go bare foot no problem.
However, in the colder months, you might want something to keep you a bit warmer like neoprene boots.
It is possible to paddleboard without knowing how to swim, although wearing a life vest will be essential. Therefore, it will be better it if you know how to swim as it is without a doubt that you will fall off of your paddleboard at some point!
We are based on the towpath in West Molesey. It’s an easy place to walk and cycle to and we encourage all our customers to do that if possible – we have plenty of space for bike storage.
If you are driving, the nearest free public parking is at Hurst Park.
We partner with Rewilding Britain to help protect our natural spaces for future adventures.
All centres are vetted for safety and quality. Your adventure is in good hands with adventuro.

Wonderful service, great place and really friendly! Thoroughly recommend!
We had a fantastic morning on the river, the sun was shining and Andy was very helpful in his advice of where we could get to in the time we’d booked. All equipment and facilities great too, very handy to have lockers to leave some bags behind. Would definitely recommend!
