This course is designed for young climbers aged 7-16 who have completed the NICAS Level 1 course and are eager to advance their climbing skills. Over twelve sessions, our experienced instructors will guide your child through the Level 2 syllabus, helping them build on their foundational skills and prepare for the final assessment. This is a fantastic opportunity for young climbers to grow in confidence and competence in a supportive and engaging environment.
This twelve-session course is carefully structured to build on the skills your child has acquired in Level 1. Each lesson will focus on refining basic climbing techniques, with particular attention to problem-solving and risk management. Children will learn to climb more independently, making decisions about their routes and developing the mental focus needed for safe climbing.
Throughout the course, your child will be encouraged to think critically about their climbing, developing both technical and cognitive skills. Our instructors will offer personalised guidance, ensuring each climber progresses at a pace that suits them. The final sessions will focus on preparing for the Level 2 assessment, ensuring your child feels confident and ready to advance.

To enrol in this course, your child must have successfully completed the NICAS Level 1 course.

All necessary climbing equipment, including harnesses and helmets, will be provided. However, we recommend that your child brings their own climbing shoes for a better fit and comfort.
They should also wear comfortable, flexible clothing suitable for climbing activities. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and their NICAS logbook.
The final assessment will take place during the last session. Our instructors will evaluate your child’s progress against the NICAS Level 2 syllabus, including their climbing techniques, problem-solving skills, and ability to climb independently.

It was brilliant. Well set out and all levels catered for. Shame that some of the\'boulders\' had taken off and not yet replaced, but we understand they can\'t fix them all every day. Didn\'t stop us all having the best day of the holidays
