How long do climbing sessions last?

Each climbing session lasts approximately 3 hours. This allows plenty of time to go through safety procedures, practice key climbing techniques, and tackle different routes suited to your ability.

What happens if it’s raining or the weather is bad?

The Lake District experiences rain on around 200 days of the year, so we don’t let a bit of wet weather stop us. Climbing in light rain can be part of the adventure, and our instructors will adapt the session if needed. However, if there are thunderstorms or high winds forecast, we will cancel or reschedule the session for safety reasons.

Are there any weight limits for rock climbing?

There are no strict weight limits for climbing, but participants must be able to fit into our Beal No Pad harnesses, which accommodate up to a 42-inch waist. If you are unsure, please contact us before booking, and we’ll be happy to advise.

How many people can join in one booking?

We can accommodate up to 12 people in a single booking. Whether you're coming as a small group, a family, or a larger party, we can tailor the session to suit your group size. If you have more than 12 participants, get in touch to discuss options.

What equipment is provided for rock climbing?

We supply all the essential climbing gear, including: Harness Helmet Ropes and other protective equipment An experienced instructor to guide and support you

What should I wear for rock climbing?

We recommend wearing comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for movement, such as sportswear or outdoor gear. Sturdy trainers or approach shoes with good grip are ideal. Avoid sandals, open-toed shoes, or anything with a smooth sole, as these won’t provide the grip needed for climbing. If the weather is cool, bring a lightweight waterproof jacket.
