This course is expertly designed to teach young riders the essential skills and techniques for mastering manmade flow trails with jumps and berms. Taught by Michael, a seasoned cycling coach with extensive experience across various bike racing disciplines. His rider-centred approach ensures each participant receives personalised coaching to enhance their abilities and confidence.
During the course, you will be guided through various skills and techniques essential for riding flow trails. We start with fundamental jumping skills, focusing on pumping to gain speed, soaking and squashing for better grip management, and core jumping movements to clear obstacles. You’ll then learn to navigate berms effectively, enhancing your cornering abilities to maintain speed. As the session progresses, we'll move on to advanced jumping techniques, including riding faster on flow trails, squashing and scrubbing jumps, and mastering transfers. You’ll practice jumping in and out of berms and learn to link berms and jumps seamlessly. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence and skills to ride flow trails with style, incorporating tricks and maintaining a smooth flow.
