Experience the excitement of enduro racing with expert coaching tailored to enhance your riding skills, fitness, and mental preparation. With over a decade of experience, your coach Michael, a multi-discipline bike racer, will guide you through the intricacies of enduro racing. This course offers comprehensive training to help you excel.
This course offers a holistic approach to enduro race preparation. Michael, with his extensive racing background, will lead you through a series of drills and practice sessions designed to simulate race conditions. The day begins with a comprehensive skills assessment and warm-up, followed by trail practice on various levels of difficulty, gradually progressing to trails similar to those in the National Enduro Series.
You'll engage in race scenario situations, including timed laps on unfamiliar trails, to replicate the pressure of racing. This practice aims to build your confidence and improve your ability to find flow under the clock. Additionally, you'll receive guidance on fitness training, both on and off the bike, ensuring you’re in peak physical condition for race day.
The course also covers the logistics of racing, from equipment checks to nutrition and mental preparation. You'll learn how to make the most of practice time, identify lines, and maintain a positive mindset under pressure. By the end of the day, you'll have a solid foundation to tackle enduro races with confidence.
The course takes place at Greno Woods MTB trails and Wharncliffe Woods, known for their challenging and diverse trail options. Participants will meet at the Grenoside Woods car park (S35 8RS).
These locations offer an ideal setting for practising enduro racing techniques and building confidence on varied terrain.
Participants must be capable of riding black graded trails, even if they cannot ride all the A-lines. Prior experience on natural trails outside of trail centres is required. Previous coaching experience, either with Michael or another coach, is strongly recommended.
